"Well bowled, Harold!"

I loved her, i adored her, i worshipped her. I had devoted countless hours towards her, i had spent sleepless nights admiring her. I can never forget those chilly early morning dates in picturesque New Zealand , her charm reached another altitude altogether in those icy winds. Her tanned body, in white Lenin swinging to the beats of ragge’ gave rainbow to Caribbean beaches. Though she is English by blood but look at her closely you would find her skin tone to be very sub continental. Our love has seen many ups and downs....we had abysmal low when they alleged that she has been tainted by greedy "PUNTERS". Priests of high temples were found to guilty of lowest sins, glamour, glitz and glitter had replaced her calm and serene beauty, she had now become more of "theirs's " and less of "our's".But our love weathered all those storms without a trace of withering. I didn’t have audacity to question her virginity when Messiahs of our world still swore by her. I still believed that she was "gentleman's" and "gentlemen" were her's forever. But what happened at Sydney, on that sunny afternoon has put a dark shadow on ny belief and her stature. Perhaps yes, she has changed, not sure for good or bad. She is more about winning less about pleasure, more about power less about class, more about speed less about elegance, more about "Punters", less about "Grace".
Jardine earned the honor of being the most notorious Englishman since Jack the Ripper for his heroic at in Adelaide. Were those eleven Aussie in baggie green any better then Jardine & CO. of 1932 summers. if "Fast Leg Theory" was a demonic ploy then were one bounce catches, unabated sledging and "appealing tactics" pure, unadulterated Australian cricket. Larwood only shattered Bill Woodful's heart with bodyline, Sydney's outcome broke millions of heart every passing minute. Were Aussie's not hearing cracking of Oldfield's skull when Ponting was playing third umpire on field. When yellow flags were fluttering all around words that were echoing in my ears were -- "Well bowled, Harold!".
